This picture of a Vermont Air Guard F16 in flight was taken by David Harrington of Barre Town.  The pilot was simulating an approach for in-flight refueling.  The trip was sponsored by the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve  

The picture on the right is of the Vermont Air Guard in flight over New York City following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
